Quick, easy and healthy breakkie!!!

If you haven't tried Quinoa now is your time to get into it! It is a great alternative for people who are sensitive to wheat and gluten, and can be used as a substitute for rice. But I particularly like it for breakfast especially in flake form. It is a high source of protein and energy and the best thing is it is so easy to cook.

Here is how:

Firstly heat around 2 cups of Rice or almond milk in a saucepan. Once it is hot stir in around 1 to 1 and a half cups of Quinoa flakes. Cook for 5 to 15 mins on low depending on how you like the texture.

Add whatever you like! I like to stir in a dollop of honey, mashed banana, chopped strawberries and blueberries. Nuts are also great.

Sprinkle some Cinnamon on top and enjoy!

  1. Love this! I eat quinoa for this reason- I can't enjoy oats so it feels like the comfort of museli or bircher or porriage without the gluten. YUM!
